The Unplug Retreat is a 6-day, 5-night all-inclusive retreat at an award-winning spa resort. Located on 500 acres of pristine woods, lakes, and walking trails, this retreat is a chance to get away from it all and exhale deeply. October 24-29, 2021.

Write a review

 

Write an email, newsletter, article, or blog post to share an honest review of the course you did—and what you achieved.

 

In your post, you could touch on the following points:

Let’s say you have 10 clients who would be perfect for The Tiny Book Course.

Best Practices

State that you’re an affiliate and what this means

 

By law, you are required to state that you’re an affiliate. This is known as an “affiliate marketing disclosure.”

 

This means, whenever you mention a Get It Done course and encourage people to enroll, you need to include a brief statement explaining you receive financial compensation when people enroll.

 

Your statement can be something like this:

 

I’m a proud graduate of The Tiny Book Course. I’m an affiliate, too. This means that when you enroll for this course using my special affiliate link—this one—you save $50 on the course, and I earn $50. Win-win.

 

Or something like this:

 

I’m an affiliate for The Marketing Without Social Media. This means when you enroll for this course using my special affiliate link—this one—you get a discount and save money (hooray!), and I earn a small commission. I only promote products and courses that I’ve personally purchased myself and that I strongly believe in.

 

You can include this “fine print” at the bottom of a blog post or webpage, as a PS note at the bottom of an email, or anywhere you want. It just needs to be stated somewhere.

 

 

Let it feel natural

 

There are lots of ways to promote courses in a way that feels natural and organic.

 

For instance, you’re at a baby shower and someone mentions they’re dreaming about writing a children’s book? Tell them, “OMG, I did a book-writing course last year and you might love it!” Follow up with them later via text or email to give them all the info they need.

 

Your client mentions they’re thinking about starting a newsletter? Give them a heads up about Newsletter Magic.

 

Your friend is planning a 60th b-day party for their mom and wants to do something really special? Tell them, “Since your mom is a small business owner, maybe for a birthday gift, you could get her a marketing course!” Email them all the details.

 

Listen to what your friends, relatives, and colleagues are saying—their dreams, their goals, things they want to get done. Then, when it feels appropriate, mention a course that might be perfect.

 

 

Share your journey

 

People love hearing true stories and behind-the-scenes information.

 

Share your journey. How you created the cover for your new book…how you nailed down your marketing plan for 2021…how you landed a big client or exciting project…or how it feels to send out your 100th newsletter! Victory!
